About us

Ily’s Cakes and Events is a family owned business. Isabel Lopez, a native of Barcelona, Spain, is the designer; she has been making cakes and entertaining friends and family for more than 2 decades; professionally about 7 years, where she captures on the cakes her artistic trayectory. Nowadays, her designed cakes and events are making people happy in the areas of Broward and Dade County in Florida

It wasn’t until 2001, when she studied Culinary Arts in South Florida, that she discovered her real passion for baking. She participated at VICA Competitions and was awarded with gold and silver medals in different levels of the competitions.

Isabel is an active member of the West Broward Cake Decorator’s Club,
and is always updating her knowledge for new trends in the Art of Cake Decorating.

Our cakes are custom made for every special occasion: Weddings, Baby Showers, Birthdays, Religious Celebrations, Company Affairs and just cakes to celebrate life. Our clientele choose the theme, number of tiers, colors, decoration and we make it just for them. For Isabel, every cake is a new challenge, a new blank canvas waiting to be artistically decorated. As she says “The Cake is the jewel of the party, therefore I make every cake a unique piece with the same love and passion to delight the most demanding customer”.

In addition, Isabel has a Certification as an Event Planner, so she not only can help you with your dream cake but also with your dream party, from organizing the theme, to contracting vendors and suppliers and taking a detailed care of the whole event, so you just will feel cordially invited to your own party.
